What are Acropolis Athens ticket prices?
The official Acropolis and Slopes ticket costs €30, or €15 reduced, and it is valid for the rock and its slopes. You can buy it at the ticket offices on site or online from the Ministry of Culture's e-ticketing service. A tour costs more because it adds a guide, and often a timed ticket bought for you.
Do Acropolis Athens tours include tickets?
Some do, and many do not. A lot of tours quote a “from” price without the €30 ticket and sell it on a dearer option, while a few put it in the headline fare. Read the option you are choosing before you pay, because buying the ticket twice is the commonest mistake.
Is the Acropolis free for children?
Children under 18 from outside the EU enter free, and so do EU citizens under 25. Bring a passport or ID for each of them, because the free ticket is issued against it. On a tour that includes tickets, tell the operator their ages when you book.

The general ticket is €20 and the reduced ticket €10, sold by the museum itself online and at the door. It is a separate ticket from the Acropolis, so a tour that adds the museum may or may not include it.
How much is the Ancient Agora ticket?
€20 full and €10 reduced, valid for the archaeological site and its museum in the Stoa of Attalos. The Agora keeps the same free days as the Acropolis, and it closes half an hour earlier than the rock in most seasons.
Do I have to tip the guide?
No. Gratuities are left out of the fare on the listings that mention them, and tipping stays your choice at the end of the tour. If a guide made the Parthenon make sense to you, that is when people usually tip.
What happens if I arrive late for my slot?
You can lose it. Operators say timed tickets expire within minutes and that a group cannot wait, and one ticket listing allows entry only within 15 minutes either side of the slot. Be at the meeting point 15 to 20 minutes early.
Can I change my Acropolis ticket time?
Not on the ticket-only product: its date and time slot cannot be amended once booked. On a tour, the operator's own cancellation terms apply, so cancel at least 24 hours ahead and rebook if your plans move.
Which Acropolis entrance should I use?
Either the Main Entrance on the west slope or the South entrance near Acropolis metro station, whichever your ticket or tour names. Visitors with disabilities validate tickets only at the Main Entrance. Your ticket is used once, so leaving the site ends the visit.

Can the driver guide me inside the Acropolis?

Can I combine the Acropolis and the museum on one tour?

Shoes with grip, because the marble paths are worn smooth, plus a hat and sunscreen for an exposed rock with little shade. The Ministry asks for footwear suitable for walking and dress that suits an archaeological site.

The toilets inside the site are under renovation. Use the permanent restrooms to the right of the Main Entrance or the portable ones to its left before you go in. Accessible toilets are at the Information Centre on Dionysiou Areopagitou, near the South entrance.
